Our Approach

sambec is a family run property development business founded by Directors Mark and Susie Humphries.  Both surveyors, with significant experience in construction management, they were keen to continue their passion for development under their own brand.

Following their redevelopment of several properties in the South West, their vision for strategic design, consideration of end-user experience and keen eye for detail captured the interest of friends and investors Simon and Katherine Brown, who joined Mark & Susie as co-Directors of sambec in early 2021.  Simon brought with him a wealth of entrepreneurial experience from establishing his tax consultancy Firm “ForrestBrown” in 2013, growing it rapidly and then selling it to a US based consultancy practice in 2018.  Katherine is director of several start-up businesses in Bristol and was part of the successful property finance team at Royal Bank of Scotland prior to choosing to prioritise family commitments.  Katherine and Simon have re-development experience relating to their own properties.

Most excitingly, they share the vision for sambec and joined the family!

So what makes sambec different?

Conscious development.

Creating the perfect balance.  Not wishing to be wholly focused on one area to the detriment of others, at sambec we approach all developments mindful of the buildings and homes we’ll be creating and the environments in which they reside.

All too often an extreme focus in one area creates a deficit elsewhere.  Life is about balance after all!
